Welcome to Bishops Water Polo
The BISHOPS WATER POLO website has been created as an information portal for Bishops Water Polo Players, Teachers, Coaches and of course the Parents. Of course we don't even mind if you are not from Bishops.
Bishops built their first 25 m swimming pool in 1922, excavated by "work party" Bishops boys, however the start of water polo at Bishops can be traced back to 1968 where the sport was started by Tom Fair. Inter-schools water polo matches started in 1971 and Bishops boasted 9 teams by 1984. A dedicated water polo pool was built in 2005 adding to the existing facilities and Bishops now fields up to 14 teams in the inter-schools competition.
